As from September 2008 to October 2nd, a group of 24 PDP/PTMSc students will travel to China to broaden their international experience even more. The main goal of the trip is to visit Chinese companies, the Shanghai harbor and the Economic zone, visit the embassy and universities, combined with a solid dosis of Chinese culture and nature.
The program focuses on Chengdu and Shanghai. In addition to this, some of the attendees have extended their stay with a visit to Beijing and Xian, as per an offered option by the foundation.
The companies and institutes to be visited are still subject to changes but the current indications are very promising. From a culture perspective the Panda reservate and the Buddah park in Chengdu, the Maglev high speed train in and a biking tour through Shanghai are one but a few.
Obviously, an Nyenrode alumni meeting will be prepared as well. Theme of the trip is "Globalization and Integration". The 2008 China event is organized by:
